So how are you coming with that one goal for the year? Fall is upon us and we are in for the busiest time of the year. Now is the time to create our future. To quote Mary Christensen," Sales are your income for today. Bookings and appointments are your income for tomorrow, but sponsoring could be your income for the future." The #1 reason people get involved in this business is because someone asked them. People don't join because they haven't been asked. Don't prejudge - ask everyone. Not asking someone is denying them the chance to change their life. Never assume! Ask interesting questions, get interesting answers. For example:
* If you could make one family dream come true what would it be?
* If you could make one personal wish come true what would it be?
Think of people having a pilot light where their hear is. Your job is to find what will light that flame. The way to make people feel good about your business is to make them feel good about themselves. If you have a hostess that doesn't have a good turn out for her party call her and say, "I know that the numbers were smaller than you had hoped but what I really admire about you is that you didn't cancel. You're amazing! I think you would be really good at this!" Help people feel good about themselves.
At a party display 3 inexpensive gift bags. Inside you will want to put everything that a hostess needs to have a party. Also include a little prize such as our small diffuser bottle with fragrance in it, an all purpose freshener, a candy bar, etc. Just a little something that isn't very expensive so they feel like they are getting an extra treat. Put tissue paper in the top of each bag. Then get 2 bags that are slightly larger with everything they need to become a consultant. You could also include a small poster with a picture of each item that is included in the starter kit with the retail price of each item underneath. This allows them to actually see what they will be getting for only $95.00 and it will also help them see what a bargain it is. Put tissue paper in the top of these also. Tell your guests that inside these bags is everything they need to host a party or start their own franchise ( become a consultant). They can take these bags tonight when they schedule a party with you or sign up to start their own business. This way they feel like they are getting a gift by having a party or signing up to join your team and everyone likes to get gifts!

Be Your Best In 2011

Get a paper and pencil and write down “This year I am going to settle for more.” Everyone settles for something so why settle for less? Whatever you have to deal with in your life, give yourself permission to succeed. Just make a decision that no matter what, you are going to be successful. There are always going to be stumbling blocks put in your way. Sometimes they may slow you down but don’t give up. Be determined that you will not stop working for your dream.
Find one goal so powerful that every time you think about it your heart bursts! It could be a family vacation to some place wonderful; it could be paying off a bill or being able to stay home with your children. Don’t think it’s going to be easy. Stick with it no matter what life throws at you. Remember….One goal, one year. Be patient. Don’t expect results over night. 99% of failure in this business is because, One, we over estimate the challenge and under estimate ourselves. Two, we have all the skills we need to succeed in this business in our DNA but instead of using them. We turn strength’s into sabotage.
v Book parties in the first three weeks of the month. Then you won’t be scrambling at the end of the month to make your goal.
v Don’t forget to make your calls. We don’t make calls because we don’t want the reaction. We’re afraid they might turn us down or not like our product. Don’t take it personally. Most people appreciate the calls. Put order forms by the phone to help remind you to make the calls.
v Give yourself a small reward after you have made your calls.
v Put bangles on one wrist and move them to the other as you get things done.
v Learn when to stop talking. Sometimes we say too much. When you act like a predator, people will run like prey. Beware – enthusiasm can be seen as predatory behavior.
